Our mission

Through Jesus Christ’s example and teachings in Scripture, our congregation seeks a relationship individually and communally with our unconditionally loving God. Our primary mission, summarized by Jesus, is to love God, others, and ourselves. We seek spiritual growth, characterized by humility, transformation of heart and mind, and service to others.

Through Jesus’ admonition we endeavor to avoid religiosity characterized by external appearances and practices, rigidity in theology leading to judgment of others, and codification of Scripture that limits our understanding. Enabled by the Holy Spirit, we seek to be agents of God’s desire stated throughout Scripture for justice, equity, and communal flourishing.
